Elite IQ Laser — Nail Fungus
Remove & Clear
Laser nail fungus treatment uses the 1064nm Nd:YAG laser to penetrate the nail plate and deliver targeted heat to the fungal organisms (onychomycosis) living in and under the nail — without damaging the surrounding skin or nail tissue. It offers an effective alternative to oral antifungal medications, which carry risks of liver toxicity and drug interactions.

How it works
The 1064nm laser energy passes through the nail plate and is absorbed by the chromophores in the fungal organisms beneath the nail. The thermal effect destroys the fungal cells while leaving surrounding tissue unharmed. As the nail grows out over subsequent months, clear nail replaces the previously infected tissue. Multiple sessions are needed as the laser treats living fungi but does not instantly clear the nail.

Confirmed or suspected onychomycosis (nail fungus); patients who cannot take or prefer to avoid oral antifungals; those who have tried topical antifungals without success; any skin tone.
Who is it not for?
Nail changes due to psoriasis or trauma (not fungal origin — requires diagnosis); pregnancy; pacemakers or electronic implants.

Build Your Protocol
Your skin has more than one concern. Your protocol should too.
How do I know if I have nail fungus?
Common signs include nail thickening, yellowing or browning discoloration, brittleness, crumbling edges, and separation of the nail from the nail bed. We perform a clinical assessment at your consultation. For definitive diagnosis, we may recommend a nail culture.
Why not just use oral antifungals?
Oral antifungals (Lamisil, Sporanox) are effective but require 3–6 months of daily medication and carry risks of liver toxicity and drug interactions. They also require blood monitoring during treatment. Laser offers a non-systemic alternative with no liver burden and no drug interactions.
Will my nail look clear right away?
No — the laser kills the fungus, but the nail needs time to grow out clear nail in place of the infected tissue. Fingernails take 3–6 months to fully grow out; toenails take 9–12 months. You'll see gradual improvement as clear nail emerges.
