Thread Lifts
Lift & Tighten
Thread lifts use dissolvable PDO (polydioxanone) sutures inserted beneath the skin to mechanically lift and reposition sagging tissue. As the threads dissolve over 4–6 months, they stimulate collagen production along the thread tract — meaning results continue to improve even as the physical threads are absorbed.

How it works
Fine PDO threads are inserted via a cannula into the subcutaneous tissue. Barbed or smooth threads mechanically lift and anchor the tissue in a more elevated position. As PDO dissolves, it triggers a localized inflammatory response that stimulates collagen and elastin production — providing sustained improvement beyond the thread's physical presence.
Who is it for?
Mild to moderate jowling or mid-face descent; patients wanting immediate visible results; those bridging the gap between non-invasive treatments and surgery; patients in their 40s–60s with good skin quality.
Who is it not for?
Severe skin laxity with excess skin (surgery needed); active infection or inflammation in treatment area; pregnancy; autoimmune conditions; patients on blood thinners (discuss with provider).

Peak Results
Month 2–3
How long does it last?
12–18 months
How many sessions?

Build Your Protocol
Your skin has more than one concern. Your protocol should too.
Will I be able to see or feel the threads?
Immediately after, you may feel mild tightness. Threads are not visible through the skin. As swelling resolves over 1–2 weeks, results look increasingly natural. Most patients cannot feel the threads after healing.
Can thread lifts be combined with other treatments?
Yes — threads are often combined with neurotoxin, fillers, and energy-based devices like OligioX or Ultherapy for a more comprehensive result. We recommend spacing them out appropriately to optimize healing.
Are thread lifts safe?
PDO is a biocompatible, dissolvable suture material that has been used in surgery for decades. Performed by an experienced provider, thread lifts have a strong safety profile. Risks include temporary bruising, swelling, and rarely asymmetry — all discussed at your consultation.
