GLP-1 Weight Loss Program (Semaglutide & Tirzepatide)

Medical weight loss that protects your metabolism

GLP-1 receptor agonists (semaglutide and tirzepatide) are a class of medications that suppress appetite, slow gastric emptying, and improve insulin sensitivity — producing significant weight loss in most patients. At Lynnwood Trinity Clinic, we provide medically supervised GLP-1 therapy combined with naturopathic support — because the medication alone is only part of the answer. Up to 40% of weight lost on GLP-1s can come from lean muscle mass if nutrition and exercise are not actively supported. Our program protects your metabolic foundation while the medication does its work.

How it works

After a comprehensive metabolic and health assessment, we determine appropriate candidacy and starting dose. Weekly subcutaneous injections are self-administered. We provide complete injection training, dosing guidance, and a personalized nutrition and protein optimization plan. Hormone and metabolic markers are monitored throughout to ensure fat — not muscle — is being lost. We integrate naturopathic support to address any underlying metabolic contributors (thyroid, insulin resistance, cortisol) that may be limiting results.

Who is it for?

Adults with BMI ≥27 with weight-related health conditions or BMI ≥30; patients with insulin resistance or prediabetes; those who have tried diet and exercise without sufficient results; patients wanting a medically supervised approach to meaningful weight loss.

Who is it not for?

Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2 syndrome; pancreatitis history; pregnancy or breastfeeding; active eating disorder; type 1 diabetes; certain GI conditions (discuss with provider).

Session Time

45–60 min (initial assessment); 20–30 min (follow-up)

Down Time

None from injection; mild nausea possible initially (resolves with dose titration)

Results?

4–8 weeks

Peak Results

Month 3–6 (as dose is optimized)

How long does it last?

Maintained with lifestyle support; medication can be tapered after reaching goals

How many sessions?

Monthly check-ins minimum; more frequent initially

What's the difference between semaglutide and tirzepatide?

Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) is a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) is a dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonist — targeting two pathways simultaneously, which in clinical trials produced greater weight loss on average. We assess which is more appropriate for your specific situation at your consultation.

What happens when I stop the medication?

This is one of the most important questions to ask — and one most programs don't address. Without lifestyle foundation, weight often returns when medication is stopped. Our naturopathic protocol builds metabolic resilience alongside the medication — optimizing nutrition, protecting muscle mass, addressing hormonal contributors — so that your results are as sustainable as possible after tapering.

Is this the same as getting Ozempic from a telehealth company?

No. Telehealth GLP-1 programs prescribe the medication with minimal oversight. Our program includes comprehensive metabolic assessment, hormonal monitoring, nutrition optimization, muscle preservation protocols, and the full naturopathic support of a licensed ND — addressing the whole picture, not just the prescription.
